There are a shocking amount of folks who believe that when they start in Internet Marketing they will be able to do a couple hours of work (at most) and then spend the rest of their days slacking, playing video games, watching daytime television, etc. Obviously this is not actually how functioning online works. As with any job, it is the frame of mind that you have that will determine how much success you find (or dont, as the case may be). If you imagine I dont want to work, you wont create hardly any money. If you approach it seriously and hold a confident mentality, however, you could wind up making lots of money every day. Here are some things that should help you.

1. Handle it like a job, because it is a job. A lot of new Internet Marketers will plop themselves down on the chair with a laptop and their remote control. They seem to think that it's absolutely possible to do just a little bit of work while still slacking off. Keeping a television on in the background for background noises (or the radio) is something. Settling in to enjoy it is entirely another. Find or purchase a table and carry out your work there. This will allow you to keep the doing work time separate from the fun time. Yes, this can be gonna probably feel a lot like the job you just left but thats okay.

2. Create normal working hours for work. Perhaps the best thing about IM is that you have a much wider variety of working hours to choose from. That outdated "nine to five" chosen lifestyle doesn't apply when you decide to produce your living on the internet. At once, it is vital that you put aside some hours every day to do your work. If you find that you will get a lot more done later in the day, set aside your work hours for that time. This is great because it is possible to train your body eventually to be in "work" mode at certain times of day so that, eventually, you won't have to make yourself get to work, your body will want to do it naturally.

3. Employ a positive frame of mind. This may sound extremely cheesy but the truth is that staying high energy and believing "I can do this" is often exactly what you need to meet your goals. It is not unlike how, in telephone selling, people are told to truly smile while they talk because people can hear the smile. When you imagine "I'm good at what I do," "I can get this done" and "I will meet all of my goals today" that frame of mind will infuse your work, customers will pick up on it and then they will think the same things about you.

A lot of people think that the whole "have the right attitude" thing is amazingly cliche and something best left to Oprah but the truth is that people who achieve high success levels get there because they had a good attitude. People who believe "I want money to find me" do not make much money at all but those who think "I am going to make money today" find high levels of success!
